The University of the Arts student union (TaiYo) is looking for student representatives for the academy boards for a one-year term of 1 January to 31 Decemeber 2026. Each academy board (SibA board, TeaK board and KuvA board) has 3 student members. By decision of the rector, the boards of SibA and TeaK also have one joint vice member for all students.
The academy boards manage the activities of the academies together with the dean of each academy, and their task is, for example, to develop the education, artistic activities and research of the academy. Each academy board has 9 members, of whom 3 represent professors, 3 other staff and 3 students. The board is chaired by the dean of each academy.
The student members receive a meeting fee (at least €25 per meeting) for performing the task. The position of student member in the Academy board can be applied for by all registered degree students of each academy. It is also possible to apply and participate the board work in English.
There will be a Thursday 20.11, a joint orientation evening will be organised for the student representatives of the boards from 17:30 onwards.
