The purpose of the Student Union's harassment contact persons is:
- Be low-threshold peer support and discussion help for students
- Advise and support a student who has experienced harassment or other inappropriate treatment to take the matter forward in accordance with the university's processes
- Harassment contact persons can also participate as support persons in meetings with university staff
- Harassment contact persons do not have official authority in cases of inappropriate treatment, but they offer support and advice in taking the matter forward to Uniarts Helsinki staff, who have the right and obligation to take action in the matter.
