Accessibility information for the office:

TaiYo's office is located on the fourth floor of the N-building and the building is partially accessible. Accessible entry to the building is available through the backyard by calling the attendants of the building, tel. 029 4474403. There are lifts to access all levels of the building. Before the elevator and office there is a glass door and a threshold 3 cm high.
Please note that you will need a key to the N-building to access the lift.

The Board

Hallitus johtaa TaiYo:n toimintaa ja arkea. Käytännössä hallitus vastaa toimintasuunnitelman toteuttamisesta, järjestää tapahtumia, ottaa kantaa TaiYo:n nimissä, edustaa ylioppilaskuntaa ja huolehtii päivittäin opiskelijan edun toteutumisesta. Hallituksen toimikausi on kalenterivuosi, ja sen valitsee edustajisto, jolle hallitus vastaa kaikesta toiminnastaan. Hallitus kokoontuu lukukausien aikana yleensä kerran viikossa. Kokousten päätösluettelot julkaistaan näillä verkkosivuilla kohdassa Notice Board.

Space for Free Arts

Vapaan taiteen tila on Taideyliopiston opiskelijoiden taidetila Sörnäisissä. Taideyliopiston opiskelijat saavat varata tilaa maksutta käyttöönsä ja siellä voi järjestää esim. näyttelyitä, esityksiä, keikkoja ja työpajoja.

Accessibility information

– From Vilhonvuorenkuja to Vapaan Taiteen Tila entrance (bombshelter) there is a downhill (8 m) covered with cobblestones.
– The doorstep is 2,5 cm high and the door 127 cm wide (it’s also possible to open another same width door next to this one).
– There’s another downhill (20 m) inside with concrete floor. On the way down there are two ramps (wide 80cm) going over footsteps (13 cm high).
– Doorstep to the performance space is 5,5 cm high and the door 127 cm wide (it’s also possible to open another same width door next to this one).
– Doorstep in toilet 3 cm and width of the door 70 cm.
– The air humidity of an underground venue varies significantly according to weather conditions.

The purpose of the Student Union's harassment contact persons is:

  • Be low-threshold peer support and discussion help for students
  • Advise and support a student who has experienced harassment or other inappropriate treatment to take the matter forward in accordance with the university's processes
  • Harassment contact persons can also participate as support persons in meetings with university staff
  • Harassment contact persons do not have official authority in cases of inappropriate treatment, but they offer support and advice in taking the matter forward to Uniarts Helsinki staff, who have the right and obligation to take action in the matter.
